Great Lakes Oil Pipelines

A Republican state lawmaker has promised legislation that would prevent future oil pipelines from being built in the Great Lakes. Grand Ledge Senator Rick Jones also wants the Straits of Mackinac’s Enbridge pipeline to undergo an independent safety review. Jones says it’s only a matter of time before Enbridge Line 5 bursts. His bill would shutter that pipeline and others.
