A large number of members of Fox 17 in Grand Rapids may be getting let go this week. Another Fox 17 team member has been forced to step away and pursue other passions, and this time it is Kevin Craig, who has been a member of the team at Fox 17 since 2000, who was let go last week.

It’s always difficult when you wake up every single day and get to know members of the local news media and become accustomed to making them a part of your morning, only to find out they’ve departed.

It seems as though he will continue to provide updates not only on his life, but also on weather as well. His official Facebook page says he is the former West Michigan chief meteorologist with 25 years of experience in Grand Rapids.

He plans to keep people informed on local weather and provide a behind-the-scenes personal look at his life outside of the newsroom.

He shared his final days publicly and some of the last photos he took with his coworkers on his Facebook page, which included a final green screen chroma shot and his former coworkers, Janice Allen and Elliott Grandia:

For the first time in years…no alarm was set, no waking at 12:30 AM, no nighttime drive into work, exiting the car at 1:45 AM, and no being the first one in the building in the middle of the night. Instead…very fitting as intense, non-severe storms woke us up and killed the power at 2:20! On that note, these were some of the last photos I snapped before my involuntary departure last week after 25.5 years at FOX 17

He has promised his followers that he’s gonna have more stories about his time with FOX 17 in Photos in the coming weeks and claims that there may be more coworkers who will be getting let go by the end of the week.

The fact that he says, "My heart goes out to them, and their dedication and commitment to a job well done," offers some kind of insight that more people may be getting let go.
