Kalamazoo Man Killed In High Speed Crash

An early morning crash on Mosel Avenue near North Burdick in Kalamazoo left a 20-year-old man dead.

Just before 6am Sunday, authorities say that the Kalamazoo man was travelling at a high rate of speed, when he swerved off the road to avoid a crash with a pickup truck.  The car then sideswiped the truck and hit and broke a utility pole, before plowing through a fence.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the truck driver was uninjured.

The crash remains under investigation.
