Man Shot During Albion Home Invasion

A man is in the Calhoun County Jail after being shot during a suspected home invasion attempt in Albion.

Police responded to the scene on West Center Street late Wednesday night after residents reported hearing gunfire and a man called to say he had shot someone breaking into his house.

The suspect was tracked from the house to West Cass Street where he was found with a gunshot wound to the leg.

The suspect was treated at the hospital in Jackson before being brought back to Calhoun County.
