Michigan Black Bear, Exiled From Midland
A black bear that was wandering through a mid-Michigan community has been tranquilized and captured. According to WNEM-TV, the bear was traveling through the backyards of a Midland neighborhood on Monday morning. The bear was trapped inside the attached garage of a home, where it was shot with several tranquilizer darts. The 3 or 4 year old male bear was then loaded into a bear trap so it could be taken to northern Michigan for release. No injuries were reported. The Michigan DNR say black bears are generally fearful of humans.
