Water Shutoff In Battle Creek

City officials issued this information in a press release Tuesday morning regarding the need for emergency main repairs in the post addition:

Water shutoff in Post Addition necessary for main repair 

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — The city’s Water Division is preparing to shut off water to the following areas, in the Post Addition, in order to repair a water main break:

• Claire Street, north of East Michigan Avenue
• Stone Avenue, north of East Michigan Avenue
• Lansing Avenue, north of East Michigan Avenue
• Colvin Avenue, north of Porter Street
• Ashley Street, north of Porter Street

This is a preliminary list of the streets that may be affected by the shutoff; the area may be expanded if necessary.
