Coloma Murder Suspect To Be Returned To Michigan
A double murder and kidnapping suspect will be extradited to Michigan soon, after he was arrested in Colorado.
Alex Perez was in a Colorado court on Monday, and was ordered to return to Michigan to face charges. The 24-year-old Perez is accused of killing his ex-girlfriend and the mother of his kids, 27-year-old Renee Mitchell, and her father, 67-year-old John Mitchell, in Coloma on January 14.
Police say that Perez then kidnapped his 3 and 4 year old daughters and fled in a car, before being arrested in Clear Creek, Colorado. The girls were unharmed.
It’s not known when Perez will be returned to Michigan.
