Although there are some changes being made, some things are staying the same. What's that old saying? Don't fix what isn't broken or something like that! That's our motto, our team is staying the same, but we are just looking to expand and provide the best High School Football coverage possible for Southwest Michigan.

The high school football season kicked off last week with week 1 action that saw tons of blowouts, close games, upsets, and other craziness. I would imagine that week two will be much of the same. Some teams will be looking to bounce back from their week 1 performance while others will be looking to build upon the foundation they laid with their success in the first game.

In the last couple of years, we have seen the highest of highs and the lowest of lows when it comes to football at Battle Creek Central. The Bearcats have had tons of success in some years, even making the playoffs, while in others they are struggling to field a team and win games. I think this year could be one of the more exciting years for Battle Creek Central.

We are set up for another blockbuster game as Quarterback Lee Campbell Jr will be leading the Bearcats on the field against the Vikings from Lansing Everett. The Bearcats are coming off an impressive and hard-fought victory against the well-respected Rangers from Forest Hills Central. Meanwhile the Vikings suffered a tough blowout loss at the hands of Lansing Sexton. Will Central continue winning and building or will the Vikings get in the win column for the first time this season.

This game will take place on Thursday September 3rd, pregame will start at 6:45, and kickoff will be at 7pm from C.W Post Stadium at Battle Creek Central High School. The booth will consist of Jacob Harrison as play-by-play and Mark Frankhouse will be on color commentary. A postgame show will follow where we will give out our Lakeview Ford player of the game as well.
