A stretch of I-94 in Calhoun County was shut down temporarily due to a semi crash Sunday.

The incident occurred around 11:30am Sunday, near 20 Mile Rd. in Marengo Township. The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department says that a pickup truck was travelling eastbound, and attempted to pass a semi-truck when it lost control and collided with it, sending both into the ditch.

The truck’s trailer also blocked the roadway for a time, until it could be removed.

No injuries were reported due to the crash, with icy roads, blowing snow and excessive speed believed to be the cause.
